Another month has ended and it's time to see how I'm doing with my staking agreement.
Last month I played in 29 tournaments, ranging from $10+2 MTT to a few small SNG's. Mostly I played in the $3 and $6 90 person KO. After all the dust cleared, I found myself down about $12 for the month, so no money will be exchanging hands between JGilesBand and myself.
I'm still up since this staking agreement started, and have paid JGilesBand some money back, just not as much as I thought I would have by this time.
Another month brings hope that I will do better and eventually settle up with JGilesBand.
See you on the felt.

February Goals
Same as January, keep going with my 100 game challenge on Red Kings, and keep working on my staking agreement.

January Goals Review
Now that the month has closed, it is time to review how I did with my goals.
Since I didn't set the bar too high, I really don't have much to talk about.
During January I had the following numbers:
SNG's played: 10
ITM: 4 ( 2 wins )
ROI: 27.27%
Profit: $15.00
Overall, that leaves me with the following numbers:
SNG's played: 31
ITM: 11 (6 wins)
ROI: 23.17%
Profit: $39.50
As you can see, I'm ahead of my goal of 20% ROI, which is good. Almost 1/3 of the way through this challenge and things are looking OK.

Not a great start
Last night was the 2nd night of the WSOP league I started and after 2 events, I'm way behind in the standings. Another week like last night and I will almost be mathematically eliminated. Well not exactly, but the pressure will be on to start making some top 3's, or I will be out of the running sooner than most.
I'm not saying I expected to win this league, I just didn't expect to be so far out of it after only 2 weeks. It is a funny game, and who knows, in our next event I may catch some cards and finish near the top, while the leaders have a bad week. Time will tell and the league still has 8 more events.
The interesting thing is that over the 2 games, I tried 2 different approaches. The first week I played tight and waited for hands/spots to get my chips into. That saw me blinded out in 8th. Last night I tried mixing it up and limping into multi-way pots, hoping to hit some cards, only to get bluffed out of a big pot (pocket pair with an over pair, over card and 3 card flush on the board, only to find out my opponent hit an under card for 2 pair as well), that hurt my stack, and then run my over pair to the board into a flopped set for the rest of my chips. Hard to say how I will play the next event. I just know that over the next 2 weeks, I'd better work on my short game so that I can be better prepared for the aggression that shows up with 6-handed tables.

Monthly Challenge update
Thought I would give a little update on my monthly challenge.
Since I haven't played many games on Red Kings this month (4), and the fact that I only played $5 SNG in December, I've decided to combine the 2 months and use them for my challenge. So far this month I've gone 2 for 4 playing $5 SNG (10 player), both wins, to show a profit. Add that to December's totals and I have the following results:
Games: 25
ITM: 9 (6 wins)
ROI: 38.18%
Profit: $52.50
At one quarter the way through this challenge, I'd say I'm doing good. That doesn't mean that I won't falter, just that I'm up allowing me some leeway in the off chance that I go on a losing streak.
75 more games to go.
See you on the felt.
